BOGGS, Circuit Judge. Dr. Michael Fletcher appeals his convictions on three counts of distributing controlled substances, in violation of 21 U.S.C. § 841(a)(1), stemming from prescriptions he authorized in 2016 to his patients at a pain clinic in Crestview Hills, Kentucky. Dr. Fletcher challenges the sufficiency of the evidence supporting his convictions and the validity of his waiver of counsel. He also claims that his reliance on a disbarred attorney for legal advice while proceeding pro se deprived him of due process. After careful consideration, we affirm the district court’s judgment of conviction and denial of Dr. Fletcher’s motion for a new trial. I A. Factual Background.
