Based on a tip from a confidential informant and evidence discovered during a subsequent traffic stop, police obtained a warrant to search an apartment in which Jeffrey Scales and Keyasia Davis resided. The search of the apartment revealed heroin, marijuana, and other evidence related to drug trafficking. Scales was then indicted on charges related to drug trafficking and possession of a firearm. He moved to suppress the evidence seized at the apartment. The district court denied his motion, concluding that officers were entitled to rely on the warrant in good faith. Scales now appeals.
