JULIA SMITH GIBBONS, Circuit Judge. Defendant Warren Screw Products, Inc. (“Warren”) hired plaintiff Paul Cook to work as a delivery truck driver. After six days on the job, Cook called in sick because of a stomach bug. For the next two weeks, he stayed at home. But the company needed to continue making deliveries, so it asked Cook to return the truck keys. Cook informed the company that he had left the keys onsite. When Cook returned to pick up his paycheck, the company told him that he was fired. Cook sued Warren, asserting claims for discrimination and retaliation under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). The district court granted summary judgment for Warren, finding that Cook’s temporary stomach bug was not a disability under the ADA. The district c…
